Westand Lysander, G-CCOM

Westland Lysander Mk.III

The Lysander V9312 (G-CCOM) is a very special addition to the Paris – Villaroche Air Legend flight line.
It has been years that a Lysander has been seen flying in France and the AIR LEGEND team is very happy to offer you the chance to meet this very special aircraft!
V9312, after some time with Kermit Weeks at Fantasy of Flight in Florida, moved back to England, and was restored by The Aircraft Restoration Co. in Duxford. She flew again in 2018 for the first time since 1944.
This is also a very special tribute to the not well known and essential work of these aircraft during the early hours of WWII.
Lysanders were used to dive-bomb German positions and drop supplies to friendly troops near Calais during the late May 1940 Dunkirk evacuation!
They were later used for clandestine missions, dropping and picking up SOE agents in France and other occupied territories.
