Graphic novels dedication : Romain Hugault
Born in 1979, Romain Hugault grew a passion for aviation from an early age and obtained his pilot licence when only seventeen.
He then had the choice between becoming a professional pilot and drawing for pleasure, and developing into a professional illustrator and piloting for fun: He chose the second option.
He studied at the prestigious École Estienne, and illustrated reference works about aviation, some of which for the French Air Force.
Most of his artwork is composed of graphic novels based taking place between the two world wars.
Also inspired by the pin-ups of this period, he is the author of a collection of art books titled Pin-Up Wings. He has sold over 800,000 books to this day. His series Angel Wings, the Pilot With the Edelweiss or The Grand Duke have been translated in several languages.
